The Fort Myer Child Development Center (CDC) is the largest DoD CDC. The 50,831 square-foot CDC is available to the Pentagon, Fort Myer, Fort McNair, Henderson Hall, and other Military District of Washington facilities. The CDC can accommodate 438 children; 348 children from six weeks to five years old, and 90 children ages six to twelve years old. The space is shared with the Child and Youth Services and the Youth and School Age Services program, making it more convenient for DoD employees and their children. The school has activity rooms, computer labs, a multi-purpose room, kitchen, laundry space, and outdoor activity space.
