The Youth Center at Norfolk Naval Shipyard is accredited by the Council on Accreditation offers an array of quality programs for ages 5 - 18 years of age. The center provides activities which meet the social, physical and emotional needs of the children. Children may participate in various programs such as holiday and seasonal camps and activities, movies, dances, carnivals, sports leagues, and other community based programs and activities. The School Age Care (SAC) program is a before and after school and half day kindergarten care program. The SAC program provides transportation to and from local public schools. This structured program encourages participation in the arts, education and career development, character and leadership, health and life skills, and sports, fitness and recreation. Some events and activities are sponsored on the weekend.
