Public Works (PWC)

The Naval Base San Diego Public Works team funds maintenance and repair for base facilities including buildings, roads, grounds and piers. The Public Works Officer's area of responsibility includes Naval Base San Diego, the FISC compound at the foot of Broadway and SWDIV's 1220 Pacific Highway compound. The Public Works team is responsible for the maintenance and repair of 536 Naval facilities with a combined plant replacement value of more than $1.2 billion. Public Works initiates and oversees service to 150 tenant commands as well as more than 59 homeported ships. It's goal is to provide the best possible facilities services in support of the fleet.
