The Murphy Canyon Youth Center at Naval Base San Diego is located in the Murphy Canyon Housing area, just down from Farb Middle School. The Youth Center has tennis courts and basketball courts outside, and the Youth Center is home to the Youth Sports Office.
Navy Youth Sports experience has the goal to teach the enjoyment of playing on a team as a character building activity without the pressure of a highly competitive program. The program strives for participation, physical fitness, fair play, positive sportsmanship, and game skills. "As members of the National Alliance for Youth Sports, we believe that every child regardless of their abilities should have an opportunity to positively benefit from meaningful participation."
