The Okinawa Legal Assistance Office is located on Camp Foster down the hill from the Naval Hospital above the pool. The Legal Office provides legal services for all military bases in the Okinawa and Pacific region. The Legal Office can advise on the following: Notary Services, Family Law (divorce, adoption, custody, paternity), Estate Planning (wills, powers of attorney), Consumer Protection, Military Rights & Benefits , Basic Immigration guidance and Basic Tax issues.
Services are provided to active duty military (all branches), military dependents, military retirees, DoD civilian employees (only while on overseas assignment). *Contractors are NOT eligible for services unless the contractor’s contract states he/she rates legal services.*
Notary hours are as follows:
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday: 0900 – 1100; 1300 – 15o0
Tuesday and Thursday: 0900 – 1100
*The above are designated notary hours, however notaries may be available outside of these hours.*
*Notaries are generally not provided during Walk-In hours.*

Went there specifically for family law related stuff and was turned away and told to go talk to psd because they dont deal with navy. Wasted a whole green line hr ride and a taxi fare for nothing. only to be told at psd that I would have to talk to legal regarding my case.
