The Victim Advocacy Program at MCAS Cherry point provides support services to victims of abuse. If you have been the victim of domestic abuse or sexual assault, you are not alone. Victim Advocates are here for you when you need them. Victim Advocates will assist in developing a personalized safety plan and help you make the choice that is right for you. They advocate for your right and wishes as well as provide emotional support and crisis intervention. They can work as a liaison with commands and provide court and medical accompaniment. They can also offer military and community referrals and assist you with accessing these resources.
It is important to know there have been some changes to reporting policies that, under certain circumstances, may allow adult victims to receive services and assistance WITHOUT command or law enforcement notification.
