The Oak Grove Campground on MCAS Cherry Point features 2 camping areas. Campground #1 has 1 pavilion, 1 picnic table, 1 grill and enough room for 10 campers. This area has a small canoe/kayak launch. Campground #2 has 3 pavilions, 3 picnic tables, 3 grills and enough room for 50 campers. This area also has two small boat docks and a launch. The campgrounds are open beginning the 2nd week of May through 1 Sept. Keys must be picked up and returned at Pelican Point RV Park, MCAS Cherry Point. Camping is only available on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Reservations must be made 3 days in advance. Keys must be picked up on Friday and returned on Monday between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm.
Additionally, tent camping is available at Barlett Pond, Duck Pond, and Lonetree Point. Reservations are required.
