Substance Abuse Counseling Center (SACC) at MCAS Beaufort provides treatment services to maximize force preservation and readiness through prevention, deterrence, identification and early intervention of substance misuse and substance use disorders. SACC works with active duty and retired service members and their families to:
Provide treatment for alcohol and/or drug abuse or dependence
Increase self-awareness and coping strategies
Learn the biological and psychological impact of substance abuse
Identify contributors and risk factors for addiction
Assist Marines and Sailors with alcohol or drug problems to return to full productivity and a healthy lifestyle
Certified counselors work with Navy medical staff and provide a broad range of services and programs including:
Individual counseling and support groups
Screenings and assessments
Outreach education
PRIME for Life 16 hours of Education
Outpatient treatment (OP)
Intensive Outpatient Treatment (IOP)
Residential treatment
Continuing Care/Aftercare
Regularly scheduled follow-up appointments after other services are completed
A referral from the command or a medical clinic is not necessary. Anyone who feels they may have a problem with alcohol or drugs is encouraged to call for an appointment.
