FCC (Family Child Care) is an in home child care program administered by a Family Child Care Coordinator from the 61 Force Support SquadronsÂ’ Family Member Programs Flight. Parents have the option of selecting one of the current Family Child Care providers that are certified to provide home child care. Certified providers receive initial and annual training in child development, safety, CPR, first aid, food handling, nutrition, child abuse prevention and other career-related topics. Each FCC provider establishes her/his own contract, hours of operation and fees. All providers are inspected by various base agencies and must accomplish licensing annually. Unannounced visits to all homes are performed by the Family Child Care Coordinator to insure that child care guidelines and expectations are followed by each provider. Only trained and certified FCC providers are authorized to provide child care in government quarters.
