Useful phone numbers
The Component has both military and commercial telephone lines. The commercial number for the Component switchboard is 63-0, and base extensions are 63-followed by the on-base extension. The area code for Geilenkirchen is 02451. From outside Germany, dial the country code for Germany (normally +49) and drop the initial “0” from the area code.
For example, a call to the German NSU from outside Germany would be: +49-2451-63-2132.
