Fort Sill School Age Center is a nationally accredited program with Council on Accreditation (COA) and maintains certification through the Department of Defense (DoD). Personnel are highly trained and well qualified to care for school age children. The program is designed for children in first through fifth grade.
School Age Center staff plans a variety of activities, which include arts and crafts, sewing, cooking, bowling, computer technology, table games, billiard games, air hockey, and outdoor play. SAC also offers homework assistance during the school year Monday through Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. In addition, the SAC computer lab operates from 6:30 to 9:00 a.m. before school and 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. after school, Monday through Friday during the school year; and 5:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. during camps and school vacation days. Fort Sills home school children and the School Age programs family times are scheduled with the program accordingly.
School Age Center provides a before and after school program during the school year and a Summer Day Camp for the 12 weeks of summer. Childcare fees, established by the DoD fee policy, are based on Total Family Income (TFI). Hours of operation are from 5:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. School vacation days are included at no additional cost for those families enrolled in before school and after school programs. An Army Standard Hourly Care Rate of $4.00 per hour for School Age Children is established for Families needing 5 or fewer hours of Child Care per week. School Age Hourly Care may be used in 30 minute or 1 hour increments. Users may not exceed five (5) hours per week at this rate or accumulate hours from week to week.
