Central Michigan University (CMU) On Post Campus

Fort Riley’s history stretches back over one hundred fifty years as the nation began to focus its attention on a system of overland trails providing arteries for immigration and commerce. Established in 1852, most buildings on this historic army post are constructed of native limestone quarried on the post. CMU has been an important part of the educational services provided to the Total Army Family of the Central Flint Hills Region since 1988. The CMU offices are located on Main Post with easy access to I-70 which is a main connection between the Manhattan and Junction City communities.
