The Fort Irwin Veterinary Treatment Facility (VTF) strives to provide the utmost in compassionate quality medical and surgical care for each patient. The staff is deeply committed to maintaining the human-animal bond and to affording all pets and their families the best possible quality of life. The Veterinary Clinic is located at 977 Critter Pathway behind Sgt Fuzzbuddy’s and across from the Commissary parking lot.
The Veterinary clinic is a limited treatment facility, and as a courtesy to military family members, we offer routine examinations and vaccinations, laboratory diagnostics, radiology, surgery (including, but not limited to spaying and neutering) and dental cleaning and care as appointments become available. All of the aforementioned services are by appointment only and all pets must be registered prior to receiving services.
Pet registration for on-post housing can be completed on Wednesday afternoons and all day on Thursdays. Please have your new housing address and duty assignment, as well as your staff duty phone number with you for complete registration. It is post policy for all privately owned animals to be micro-chipped. If your pet(s) needs to be micro-chipped, please bring them with you when you come in to register.
The Fort Irwin Veterinary Service is part of the Southern California District Veterinary Command - Mojave Veterinary Branch.
