The Fort Huachuca Family Child Care (FCC) Program is your childs Home Away From Home. Childcare is offered in leased housing on Fort Huachuca and off post. Our developmental program is supported by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) guidelines.
The FCC Program provides care for children from 6 weeks through 12 years of age, who are registered through the Child, Youth and School (CYS) Services Parent Central Office. Providers are allowed to have a total of six children in care, which includes their own children under 8 years of age. Some Providers offer extended hours to accommodate parents who require routine evening care, work unusual or long hours, and have mission-related child care needs that require child care services over 12 hours per day.
The professionally trained Providers offer safe, nurturing environments for each child, that promote the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children while responding to their ever-changing needs and the needs of their Families. We believe that children learn about their world through play and that learning should be active, multi-sensory, hands-on, concrete, and relevant. We encourage experimentation, free choice, and problem solving.
