The Library at Fort Buchanan provides the Fort Buchanan community with a variety of services and multimedia tools. Our educational and training programs offer mission support and personal development for military and community members.
The Post Library has a collection of approximately 25,000 books, educational and recreational videos, audio books, playaways, magazines, newspapers and compact discs for all ages. The collection stays fresh and current with new materials and titles each month.
As a Library member, you’ll enjoy access to the General Library Information System (GLIS). It allows you to download audio books and eBooks, find materials in other GLIS libraries worldwide and manage your library account.

Library account eligibility:
Active Duty Military Personnel, Reserve and National Guard Components, DOD Civilians, Retirees and their Families. Library cards are issued in the name of the Sponsor. First-time visitors can set up an account that will follow them throughout their military or civilian career and PCS move. A military ID providing an individual’s status is all that is needed to establish an account.
