Location: Bldg. Q-2812 Smith Lake Road. Entrance to Smith Lake Recreation Area (Park, Army Travel Campground and Beach) is accessible off of Honeycutt Road onto Smith Lake Road effective November 2011. The access road off of Murchison Road is now permanently closed.

Smith Lake Recreation Area Office: Thu-Mon (closed Tue & Wed): 8 am – 5 pm
Beach and Wake Zone Cable Park: Open for the season May 23 – Sept 7, 2015 (12 – 7 pm, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays only).
- Open to DoD ID Cardholders and to the general public.
Park Area: Daily: 8 am – 7 pm (May – Sept). Daily: 8 am – 5 pm (Oct – Apr).

Army Travel Campground: Open year-round.

Mountain Bike/Hiking Trails: Open year-round
