The Main Gate/Visitor Center at Fort Benning is open 24/7.
PASS REQUEST INFORMATION
To request an access pass to post, you can go to the Fort Benning Visitor Control Center at the Interstate 185, Contractor Visitor Control Center on 8th Division Rd. in Harmony Church or submit a request via fax. If you go to one of the Visitor Control Centers, the process will take approximately 10 minutes per person, so please allow for extra time when making travel plans.
By requesting a pass, you are agreeing to a background check, which uses the National Crime Information Center Interstate Identification Index (NCIC-III), a Federal Bureau of Investigation database that provides criminal histories from all 50 states and the District of Columbia. Be aware that all individuals 18 and older in the vehicle are required to have a background check and pass before being allowed to unescorted access to the installation.
*If you are coming for a Graduation please follow the guidance given by your soldiers command. You should receive a letter giving you times, locations and procedures they need you to follow for the event.
FAX PASS REQUEST INFORMATION
You can download one of two Fort Benning Georgia Access Request Forms, (Please see website links). You may apply for an access pass up to 30 days prior to your visit, but no later than 7 days prior. If it is less than 7 days before your visit, go directly to the I-185 Visitor Control Center or Contractor Visitor Control Center on 8th Division Rd. When you complete the form, be sure to write legibly, include your visit date(s) and fax it to 706-842-6929. PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL THIS FORM.
Their system upgrade now requires the issue and expiration date of DL/IDs in order for us to process them. Without it the processing time is much longer. They will be updating our forms in the future to add these into them. Until then please write it on the bottom of the form or scan a copy of the ID.

They use a no-fail digital fax. If your fax does not go through, your phone line may not be digital. Please use a digital phone line or use a professional fax service i.e. office supply store.
Do not submit your applications more than once. You will ONLY be contacted if there is a problem with your application. You will NOT receive your visitor’s pass via e-mail. You must pick up your pass at the Visitor Control Center or the special event gate for your event. Your personal information is important to us and will be kept secure at all times.
