The Shady Oaks Family Camp (Fam Camp) at JB Charleston is located on the Air Force base is open to retired Military members, 100% disabled veterans, DoD ID card holders and active duty military members not stationed at or working on Joint Base Charleston.
​They accept reservations over the phone. In regards to how far in advance, you can only reserve for the current month we are in and the month after that. You are still allowed to come in without a reservation as well. If they cannot accommodate you in one of our 40+ full hook up sites with water, electric (30 & 50 amp) and sewer you will be placed in overflow. Overflow includes water and electric (30 & 50 amp) with access to a dump station and bathroom facilities if needed.
General Information:
- Active duty military stationed at Joint Base Charleston or DoD card holders working on or with Joint Base Charleston are not allowed to stay in the FamCamp unless on leave.
- Check in: Between 1200-1900 with the FamCamp hosts at their designated site.
- Check out: noon on date scheduled to leave.
- Cash/Check/Visa/Mastercard accepted for payment.
- Cost is $23 per night.
