The School Liaison Officer (SLO) is the central point of contact for school-related matters between commanders, military families and local school systems. They assist with providing educational opportunities parents with school age children in placement to local school district.
They are there to smooth the transition, whether itÂ’s helping to handle registrations, getting the most current information about schools, advising parents about which documents are required or other issues surrounding studentsÂ’ placement or adjustment in a new school.
