The Barksdale AFB School Liaison Officer (SLO) is a primary point of contact and subject matter expert for information about all public and private schools in Bossier and Caddo Parishes. The main responsibility of the SLO is to eliminate barriers and build bridges for the academic success of military dependent children through networks and partnerships with our local and global communities.
The SLO is available to discuss any education related factors that should be considered. Examples include school selection, education planning, learning environments, extracurricular scholastic and athletic opportunities, discipline incidents, attendance and tardiness, class sizes, strength of parent involvement, experience of educators, grading practices, student aspirations, and local, state and national test results.
